Beta Striker and Beta Bomber
Two of the rarest AirMech Variants in the game, they are only available to Beta Bundle owners. Existing owners get Beta Striker for free (if they log in before the end of Beta) and anyone buying the Beta Bundle now gets them both.
It was definitely a long process to negotiate with the community for a proper re-release of the Beta Bundle. The price of it ($75 USD) reflects the value that the Beta Bomber has been selling for in the Player Market, combined with the introduction of the Beta Striker and all the other skins included.
Will the Alpha Bundle come back? No, we are definitely out of Alpha, and the only reason we could justify bringing this bundle back is we are still technically in Beta, so it seemed fitting to offer players one last chance to own a piece of AirMech history.

The Medic Osprey has always been one of my favorites. And then Reza did this artwork, which turned out amazing.
You’ve probably seen us share this picture elsewhere, but here it is again in case you wanted to have a nice clean big version of it.
We will soon be launching our new website which makes use of all the new artwork and gives us a nice place to introduce the game to players.

Here’s a preview of the updated Goh that Kevin has been working on. She’ll be in the next patch!

Initial sketches for the current version of Hawk by Kevin.
Just a little insight into Kevin’s workflow here. First he blocks out poses in grayscale, and we decide which one will work best for the main image. He’ll add color and tighten it up with details after we select one.
Did we choose the right one? Which pose is your favorite?

Promo artwork from our Gunner Z crossover.
Gunner Z is a game you can play on iOS where you control a military truck with an arm mounted weapon to clear zombie infested cities. The guys at BitMonster Games are good friends of ours so when we had the opportunity to do a crossover we jumped at it.
There’s also an AirMech styled drone you can get inside Gunner Z! We love doing this kind of stuff, so feel free to reach out to us if you’re an indie dev that has an idea for a crossover.

Here’s an in-progress shot of the new Spiral map. Rosa and Nicholas have been working on the new tileset to give it a distinct look from the other maps.
The original Spiral map was made as a quick test to see if the traditional “tower defense” style layout would work for AirMech, and it just happened to stick around as a map we actually let players play on.
The nature of the gameplay where you can fly anywhere you want really makes it easy to have different map layouts, unlike traditional RTS or Dota games that have very strict requirements on what makes a map viable for fun gameplay.
We’re looking forward to the future when we release the map editor (available for all Prime owners) and see what the community comes up with! The best community maps will be promoted to official maps.

Bomber AirMech promo art by Reza.
We were looking for someone who could create some high quality illustrations for AirMech which could be used to promote the game and eventually found Reza who has done a ton of really cool mech artwork in the past.
We love working with him, but we just work with him remotely on a contract basis. If you’re interested in commissioning some work feel free to contact him.
